Grand Case is a small French-side village built along one long beachfront boulevard, and it is famous for one thing above all: food. Boulevard de Grand-Case packs gourmet French and Creole restaurants alongside the open-air "lolos" — barbecue shacks grilling ribs, chicken and fresh fish at communal tables — so you can eat at a white-tablecloth establishment one night and a plastic-chair lolo the next, all within a few hundred metres.

The bay itself is a long, gently curving beach with calm, clear water that is excellent for swimming, with views west toward Anguilla and reliably good sunsets. The village has a relaxed, walkable charm; small boutiques and galleries sit between the restaurants, and the tiny Grand Case-Espérance airport at the edge of town handles inter-island flights to St. Barth and Anguilla. Villas in Grand Case sit on the hillsides above the village, looking down over the bay, with the restaurants and beach a short drive or a manageable walk below. Marigot, Orient Bay and Anse Marcel are all within roughly 10–15 minutes; Princess Juliana International Airport is about 25 minutes south.
